Our long-awaited gala has come and gone, and last night New York City was filled with endless talent, fancy dresses, ruby red slippers, dear friends, and humidity.  And so today our little countdown comes to a close, but not before we update our readers on the outcome: we won!

The lovely and amazing Janis Ian won for Best Author Narration for her incredible autobiography, SOCIETY’S CHILD, published by Audible.com.  And if you missed our two-fold ode to Janis—#10 on the countdown—do not fret.  Check out Part I to see Janis win a Grammy, twice; and check out Part II to learn more from Director/Producer Stefan Rudnicki and Editor Ted Scott about the production process behind this one-of-a-kind story of a one-of-a-kind life.

Our other big winner of the night was DRACULA, written by Bram Stoker, and narrated by Alan Cumming, Tim Curry, Simon Vance, Katherine Kellgren, Susan Duerden, John Lee, Graeme Malcolm, Steven Crossley, Simon Prebble, James Adams, and published by Audible.com.  DRACULA won in TWO CATEGORIES: Best Multi-Voiced Production, and the biggie: Distinguished Achievement in Production.  We had the pleasure of hosting Tim Curry as he recorded his sections with Skyboat Director Paul Boehmer.  Hear more about that process in our interview with Paul, and listen to a bit of the audiobook itself, in our ode to DRACULA, #3 on the countdown.
